LifeKindled is a Bible reading and community app built for church youth groups. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your data to any third party. Ever.
By default, your annotations and notes are private and only visible to you. You can choose to share an annotation with your group — if you do, members of your group will be able to see it.
Your display name, avatar, and reading activity (such as completing a reading day) may be visible to other members of your group as part of the community features of the app.
Group leaders and admins can see member names, email addresses, and engagement data such as reading progress and session times within the Leader Dashboard.
LifeKindled uses the following third-party services to operate:
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, which uses industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. We implement Firestore security rules to ensure users can only access data they are authorized to view.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
LifeKindled is designed for use by church youth groups and may be used by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at eternityworks.dev@gmail.com and we will take steps to remove that information.
LifeKindled is intended to be used under the supervision of a church leader or pastor who administers the group.

To request account deletion or a copy of your data, contact us at eternityworks.dev@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our active databases within 30 days. Some data may remain in backups for a limited period before being permanently deleted.
Annotations and highlights you have shared publicly with your group may remain visible to group members until manually deleted.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users within the app. Continued use of LifeKindled after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
